Yes. Students are expected to join AUACAS faculty and staff, as well as fellow students, in person on our Antigua campus for the August 2022 semester and future terms.
All students coming to campus must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, and all students will be required to follow any related guidelines set down by the Antiguan government or AUACAS. Failure to do so will result in not being able to participate in the educational program. Students will need to provide their vaccination card before traveling to Antigua to demonstrate proof of vaccination.
If your adult family members are accompanying you, they must be vaccinated.
Students will need to follow any regulations set by the government of Antigua and Barbuda during the travel period. These regulations may be subject to change. Please view current Antigua requirements here.
Vaccinated students will only be tested if they are displaying symptoms or have received a positive diagnosis of COVID-19.
At least two (2) weeks must have passed since the administration of the full vaccine dosage to be considered FULLY vaccinated.

The number of cases of COVID-19 in Antigua that have required hospitalization has remained relatively low. Medical supplies and facilities have been more than adequate to deal with the number of cases.
Hospitals in Antigua, like those in other countries, have been retrofitted and set up to care for COVID-19 patients should the need arise. John’s Hospital has significant oxygen supplies and ventilators that are available and never been used to capacity.
If you have tested negative for COVID-19 per the official guidelines of Antigua and Barbuda and can present documentation showing that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you will not have to quarantine upon entering the country.
Arriving passengers who test positive for COVID-19 will be isolated per guidelines from the Ministry of Health Officials. Read Antigua & Barbuda’s official travel advisory for more information.
